Psychoeducation
Rumination often tries to eliminate uncertainty.
The problem is that uncertainty never fully disappears.
The more we demand absolute certainty,
the more mentally stuck we become.
People often believe:
“If I think long enough,
I will finally feel completely sure.”
But certainty-seeking usually feeds the loop instead of ending it.
Acceptance does not mean liking uncertainty.
It means stopping the constant sacrifice of your life
in order to eliminate it.
Avatar Introduction:
“Today, we will not try to defeat uncertainty.
We will learn not to obey it.”
Video Script:
“Say:
‘I do not know yet.
And I can still continue.’
You do not need total certainty
in order to take a small step.”
Exercise:
Complete only one sentence:
“I cannot be completely sure that ____________,
and even so,
I can still ____________.”
Examples:
“I cannot be completely sure that people will approve of me,
and even so, I can still speak honestly.”
“I cannot be completely sure that everything will go perfectly,
and even so, I can still begin.”
Only one sentence.
Do not overanalyze it.
Reminder:
“A meaningful life is not built on total certainty.”
